Getting most out of DC

As I visit DC more I realize that there is so much to do here. I was so focused on the discussions but now I see there is a lot in the news, blogs, videos as well that is quite interesting and useful.
Also, by default all the pages open to the ‘popular’ links on that page. But there are more tabs that I haven’t been paying attention to – newest, most liked, most discussed etc. I spend a lot of time sometimes going from one thing to another to another.
How do you make the most use of all these things available? Or do you just focus on certain things and not others?

My advice to everyone is this, "Explore, explore, explore!"
There is so much to learn from this site, and it's members!

I tend to find new sections of this site everyday that I didnt know about. Today alone I finally found the video section. This is an excellent information resource for me and for my family to learn how to better control my BG and every aspect of my life.

Oh, I am so glad to hear this from our members! This site is fantastic and there is a world of information here.

For so many who are looking for expert answers, there are lots of places to read those here. I have to say that the discussions are my favorite place because they are more personal. I do love the videos and the news articles as well, but things like the product reviews are great when you are thinking of buying a product. The Holiday tips are very good and the health center is wonderful! If you don't get the newsletter, the Living with Diabetes sections is filled with things that Amy puts out in the newsletter. So you never have to miss out.

Explore my is worth it. There are buried treasures everywhere on the site. Many of them were started because of requests from members, so have some fun!!

Howdy Dev
I do pretty much as I like. I usually go to the home page and mine the "latest site activities" (mid page on right) to see if there's anyone new on the site and invite them to be friends. When that's done I look at emails if any from people and usually reply.

Then I spend time reading new responses to discussions I'm tracking, and chime in should something interest me. I will research questions that interest me and report the results on the appropriate discussion thread.

When I've finished that, then I go to the "discussions" page and click on "Newest" and read and reply to the Newest discussions which interest me. clicking on the tracking icon so I know If anyone else has posted something on the thread.

Then I look at videos, news articles and rarely, recipes.

I seem to spend a good deal of my day on DC.

I like DC A LOT!

tracking. I should do more of that. Otherwise I find some interesting discussion, sometimes comment on it and then loose track of it and can't find it even through search.

I am not big on recipes either. But I have seen that in Videos some people add interesting videos they create.

I track almost every discussion on which I comment, and even some on which I don't comment, because it interests me.
