I rememder a few weeks after starting treatment for type 2 diabetes, people started telling me I looked 10 years younger. Even people that didn't know I had it. I guess I had the zombie complextion look before that. Did anyone else notice this?

I am glad to hear everyone is doing good now. I am feeling pretty good myself. I lost a total of 40 lbs.

Yes, I think for me it was the healthy eating, weight loss and exercise that made people start commenting. Bonus!

Before insulin I WAS a zombie ! I would almost pass out after eating carbs and it was real hard to wake me! I was seeing double, terriably sleepy ooh it was sooo awful! After insulin I perked back up I actually had enegery! I looked and felt better! Insulin has been a God send for me! I really hated sleeping all the time after eating. Its been a great treatment for me and yes I think I look better after treatment! Best wishes :)

Nobody said anything like that to me, at least not to my face! LoL! Where I did have that zombie look was when my kidneys had shut down and I needed dialysis. Even a few months after that, when my mom first saw me she cried because I got so thin and my skin color was still rather greyish. Fortunately my kidneys started working better and I am looking better now.
