I usually eat an apple, granola bar or yogurt, and it still goes low sometimes . I usually exercise for 30-40 minutes.

Things like the granola bar should work, but maybe you could add some peanut butter or cheese to your apple or some granola to your yogurt. If you just eat a carb it will rise and fall fast. If you eat something with carb and fat or protein or fiber, it will help you keep the glucose on a slower rise but more consistent.

Also, the kind of exercise is a contributing factor. Our bodies are able to use the glucose in our blood without insulin during exercise, so you body may just be eating it up big time, which is good, as long as you have enough in there to start with.

Always have a juice or some glucose tabs when you exercise if you are prone to lows so you can treat them. And if you exercise away from home or people that can help, please carry your cell phone so you can call for help if you need to.

Thanks for the info Gabby! I haven't been to a dietician for years, and didn't know about the protein, fat or fiber part you mentioned. I learn something new all the time about diabetes, even though I have had it so long..lol
