How right you are!!! It is easier to deal with diabetes than dealing with the complications from diabetes. As a result of that I do everything in my power to keep myself controlled and managed. For everything else, there's the power of prayer!!! Welcome to our website. I so hope our friendships can make dealing with diabetes easier for you. We're here to share… and care!!!

Yes it can be hard! Try and look on the bright side I do. I also no its overwhelming but we have to do what we have to do to care for ourselfs. This is a great site with many wonderful people here and they have wonderful advice. I'm a new diabetic myself and I understand what your saying! I try to take it day by day.

I know it is hard work to be diabetic. But you can do it and soon it will feel just a part of your day. I used to look at the candy at the check out and sometimes temptation got me. But now I look at the candy and I don't want any. I want my blood sugar to stay low. We're here for you anytime.

Try and look at it as a challenge don't let this illness beat you, do whatever possible to prevent the illness taking charge of your life, yes it sucks to no longer be able to pick and choose what we eat - but the rewards are much better, longer life, more energy and a opportunity to fix the damage done to our bodies, in some case certain illlnesses don't allow this option so take advantage. I"m sure am. Each day I look for more exciting ways to eat, I refuse to eat only bland food so I make it interesting. I walk every day except one day a week, nothing fancy but it helps keep my bs down. I would be lying if I said it's easy, its not but if you're acceptable to change you'll challenge the illness and delay the process.

Stay positive and good luck! I know what your going through, were all here to provide moral support.
