I have joined the site today. I had been diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes in Aug 2007. Since then I am on medication. It was going on smooth, but due to careless eating habits, my Blood Sugar count had increased around 260-270 . Now with addition of Glimepiride 2mg, initially it came down so much that it was in the range of 90 to 130,. But Once again it is now around 140-150. I want to bring it down to Fasting below 100 and PP below 140. Request help me to achieve the target. Thanks.

Welcome to our big family here at DC. Are you counting your carbs when you eat.? I was told no more than 45 to 60 carbs per meal. I try to keep it below 60 carbs. Also drink plenty of water it helps keep the sugars washed away. I have been diagnosed 2 years a type 2 diabetic. I wish you the best in keeping your blood suagars low.

I'm assuming you've changed your 'careless eating habits.' (An ongoing battle for me…) That's one way. Exercise is another. It is a daily struggle and I wish you all the best. You'll find a lot of information, support, and friends here. Welcome.
