Hi Pegsue.
I wanted to let you know that if you don't have insurance you can get ahold of Lilly (diabetic supplies manufacturer) and ask to be put on the lilly cares program. Many medicine companies have programs to help people get medicines or supplies when they can't afford them. Also, if you have the same trouble again call 911. Hospitals have a program that writes off any expense you cannot afford.

When you exercise you have to make sure you eat enough to make up for the deficit that your body burns. Good luck. If you still have trouble getting help to get diabetic supplies please let me know. If you have a doctor they sometimes are given meters for patients to try out. Talk to your doctor about getting help with this stuff. He should be able to help ya out too.

Walmart have a very inexpensive meter. You need to go to the emergency room at the hospital. they can't turn you away no matter insurance or not. I hope you will get the help you need.

i have ran into the same situation with my sugar running extremely low, feeling very faint and even passing out. i have now learned that when i begin to feel that way to drink orange juice. as far as a meter i went online and got a free meter and strips also on tv there is always advertisments for free meters and the strips comes with the free meters so that is a start.

Regardless what you do or don't do or can't do, your symptoms are NOT good. I would encourage you to get to a doctor, hospital, community service agency or someone/somewhere that can help you figure out what's going on. Worse than being diabetic is being an unmanaged diabetic because the consequences can be worse than merely passing out from low blood sugar. I have an extra meter that I will be more than happy to send to you. Message me. I can't provide more test strips than what is included in the kit however but maybe the manufacturer can. You really should be finding the cause of the problem before working on the solution for it. The important thing is to take ACTION… NOW!!!
