Hi its interesting that everyones treatment is different! We all need to watch carbs .carbs will raise our blood sugar and fast! One way I helped myself is I bought some great books on diabetes and diabetic cookbooks! These books helped me learn how to care for my self and educated me on diabetes. I found some great books on ebay and amazon very cheap! I highly recomend reading about this disease. Knowledge is power! Also I follow strict doctors orders and take two different kinds of insulin along with medication for my diabetes. Develop a healthy routine this includes testing, diet, exercise, and medication. I think the greatest way I helped myself was through reading and learning about my disease and meds through books! The more you learn the better. This will give you many tools to help battle this disease! Good luck. Keep us posted on how your doing and learn learn learn!

Hello and welcome to our community! You've entered a great place to ask and answer questions not only about diabetes but about life. If there's anything that I can do or say, please look me up. I don't have all of the answers but together we can find them because we are on this journey together. It's great to have you with us.

Howdy and WELCOME to DC Hothu!

If you want to learn about diabetes ("DM") I believe you've come to the right place!

There are a lot of people here who struggle with the same problem as you.

Here we inform, learn, comfort, support, encourage, and even give a loving kick in the pants (when needed). Mainly we give support and encouragement.

Please feel free to enter our community, look around, get to know people here and ask any questions or voice any concerns you have (it DOESN'T even have to all be DM related).

And you might think the question or concern is too small to consider here, but
I believe that the only "dumb question" is a sincere question which is never asked.

Let us know how we can help you.

Blessings to you and yours
