Like all here am a diabetic. Became one last year after having a brain turmor removed and the meds brought it on. After that I had blood clots and now on blood thinner. Having a problems with what to eat. Most of everything that I eat for my sugar is not good for my blood thinner. Lost all the time on what to eat. Anyone one else have both problems? Please help.

I am going to agree with Laura's post not to do anything drastic without the assistance of a medical/nutritional specialist because you do have the conflicting diets to work around plus your own taste buds (and test buds). You are going to want to find a sensible and workable menu plan that won't benefit one problem but make the other problem worse. As you find what works and what doesn't, you will be able to build up a collection of tried and true recipes. It may be frustrating to you today but you will find a balance that works. Keep us in the loop on your progress.

Since you have 2 different things going on here I would definitely talk to your doctor and possibly a nutritionist. I have been told lots of fruits and veggies, protein. Half the plate should be veggies and the other half should be meat and carb. Smaller portions and no going back for seconds. But please talk to your doctor before doing any thing yourself ok? And may God bless you.
