I have neuropathy of the feet and right leg due to polio. I'm suffer from inconents which I think is from the polio. I'm type 2 dibetic 2 years this last October. I have Neuropathy, but it wasn't caused from my Diabetes. It's from my back and spinal injuries and several other health problems. Knock on wood it hasn't attacked
any of my organs as of yet and pray that it doesn't.
I wish You all the best. Take Care and May God Bless You.

Howdy Emma.

Yes, I have been told that DN is affecting my internal organs. It causes me not to be sure about my bowels, and passing urine. (that means I have to wear"depends" 24-7) It has also affected my kidneys.

I understand DN can affect the nerves of any internal organ, so I'm thankful that I could have something worse, for example GastroParesis ("GP").

There are numerous discussions of DN all over this website. Write "Diabetic Neuropathy" in the search box on the discussions page. When I did I got a lot of discussions which had those words in it.
