My grandmother is having a hard time with her testing kit. She said she saw a commercial where the lancet and the testing strip are combined. I have tried google-ing this but no luck. Does anyone know if there is kits out there like this and if so what brand?

She is mistaken. The accu-check compact plus (https://www.accu-chek.com/us/glucose-meters/c...) has a lancet attached to the meter and the strips are internal to the meter and get dispensed automatically, but there aren't any that are attached to the actual testing strip as far as I know.

Yes, I was given an Accucheck compact by my home health nurse in LVNV.
At first I was impressed since the hospitals I had worked in used Accucheck meters.

Tried it but didn't like it due to the expense and high co-pays for new strips.
I didn't like the lancing device either. Most lancing devices use lances which are interchangable with other brands of lancing devices. This device had a flattened lancet you needed to buy special for that device.

I ended up going back to my Walgreens True Test meter.
