Hi. Here at DC is a good place to meet people who can understand your struggles. It is so hard to cope with diabetes when you don't have anybody around who gets what it's really like.

Howdy and WELCOME to DC David's mom!

Please enjoy the fellowship of ppl who have diabetes ("DM") and the information about all kinds of stuff here. We are gathered here to learn from one another how to best control our DM rather than letting DM control us.

Most of us are pretty easy going here. I have been forgiven when I slip up, and sometimes gently taken to task too, when the slip seems to be more permanent. We care for one another, even though most of us haven't met in the real world. That's what keeps me coming back to 'DC for more.

Blessings to you and yours

Welcome!!! I can totally relate to your request because when I first came here I had been diagnosed for a whole two days or so. I thought that I was the only diabetic in the world but have since come to realize so many things about myself, about my condition and about others. I am proud to say that I have genuine friends here… people that I can be myself with. I have found people that I can teach and people that I can learn from. I have found people who agree and disagree with me. I have found laughter and tears and the freedom to share both. Yes I understand what it means to be a diabetic. I understand that having diabetes is not nearly as bad as having uncontrolled diabetes. Please feel free to friend me and join my crazy world. You're in good hands!!! You are NOT alone!!!
