Do any of the fast food or regular chain resturants make diabetic BBQ sauce? Can anyone make an affordable sauce for us?
It is expensive, but with all the American companies overseas and serving the worlds diabetic community, many of us would be willing to pay a small additional cost to offset the additional expense to create and make it.
I bring this up because my neighbor is BBQing steaks right now, and I'm drownding in my drool.
Does drool increase blood sugar levels?
I'm afraid I don't want to know.
Thank you.

There are some low sugar or alternative sweetened sauces, but the best way is to make your own. That way you avoid all the other weird ingredients they throw in there that you can't pronounce.

I don't use sauces so much anymore, but I do marinade, and that can make a world of difference without adding the sugar spikes. A very simple one that I love, specially on chicken is lime juice, olive oil, cumin, ground coriander and a little salt and pepper. If you like sweet peppers, toss in a few of those with some onions while it's marinading and grill them up as well. YUM

It does sound good Gabby, . . . and here comes the but. (I resemble that comment) alas I may not indulge.
I ask becuse of something beyond a craving. I need BBQ now!
'Step back and hand over the BBQ bottle and no one gets hurt'.
Always knew I could modify the chocolate joke.
Or patience my a**, gimme the BBQ.
Ok I need to find something to hault the craving.
I was on the tootsie roll site earlier and this is not right.
Stores don't poen till 09:00. I guess I'll have to settle with a lukewarm, clorine filled, skanky, alkaline tasting glass of brown water. They just added more clorine I'll have to hold my nose to drink it. thwipppp.
G-nite. Sleep dep has taken me to lala land.

Alas...I cannot hold you back! Those cravings sometimes you just have to take a nibble and move on. I have a secret stash of dark 85% cocoa for those chocolate I do get it. Those days, a celery stick just won't do.

Ohh noooooo.
Dave found a almond, orange dark chocolate from Lintz this is is a wonderful treat that I can have one square a day. I think it is also 85% cocoa.
Thanks for the hint. I don't care for the regular, but it works.
