Encouragement in Diets and Vitamins

Dear reader, I have been overweight for a long time just about 15 years. I can not believe I had gained so much weight. I look in the mirror an wonder who this person is. That can't be me… Yet it was. I ignored the problem and you know it didn't go away it got larger, pardon the pun. In November, 2009 I weighed in at a whale whopping 384+ pounds. I started to pay more attention to my self I'm 46 at the time. I stopped! I just stopped eating garbage! Fast foods, white things like potatoes of any kind. Snack chips and processed dun-age, was taken out of my daily routine. I switched to Splenda (Tm), non-sweetened foods, sugars I do eat are natural sweet, from fruit that I eat, added fiber to my diet. You know I've experimented with various ways to loose the poundage.
I reduced my calorie intake everyday for a year by 150 calories and have changed my metabolic make up.
Well Kids are you ready for the results?
Weight loss=105# From November, 2009 to September, 1010. Blood pressure is normal, vision intact, kidney functionality good. All in all If my test results come back after the holiday's in order. the Doctor wants me to loose 40+ more pounds, then if everything is good I'm looking to be taken off the Met foreman. Note: Please take your meds!!! I take vitamins like Q-10, B-12, Ginkgo, Chromium Pic, Cinnamon,and some multivitamins, for diabetics. Good Luck

Congrats on finding something that works for you. I wish I could but I know that eventually something will help. I can't exercise and I know that is part of my problem but until I get some weight off I won't be able to do much. Anybody got a pool I can buy cheap! LOL My doctor has said that lap band or bypass should help along with all the other things. I am prepared to do this. I am serious about getting the weight off.

Dear Libby 5: Some good vitamins i would highly reccomend are Multibetic and either or Alphabetic. They contain quite a list of your everyday needs and are about $1.00 a day to take.

What a wonderful story! I just started making changes to the way I eat and I have recently joined a gym. I have done these things MANY times in my life, I am and always have been a "big girl". What makes it different this time is I want to do it for ME. Not because someone else has shamed me into trying to make the change. Your story has inspired me even moreso that I can do this! Congratulations to you!

YaY and wtg!! That is awesome and inspirational. I lost 30 pounds so far and am due to lose a bunch more, we shall see how that goes. I watch my diet but when I hear of people like YOU, it charges me all the more to keep it up. THANK YOU for that!
