Hi family. Can you believe its been three months since dx for me? It seems like I've been a diabetic forever now! I've got a nice tight insulin regiment and my numbers are good now but I can't believe its only been three months! I almost have forgotten what life was life before the diabetes! I wonder why it seems so much longer for me?? What do you think? Why does it seem I've had diabetes forever now.?? I guess I'm finally used to the carb counting, the needles, and the testing. I guess that's a good thing huh? I looked at the date this morning and its only my three month mark. Well at least finally I've got nice tight control. I guess it all becomes habit after awhile doesn't it ?

oh YaY!! 3 months isnt that long what is important is that you "have it" now and can just live life =) Because, that is what it is all about really. Keep yourself healthy and living to the fullest.

Thank you for this awesome post!!

That's how you want it to be, just the way things are. That way it is not a big deal to you or to anyone around you. That is the best way to live with it. So much less stress. Now when you hit a snag or two, and you will, it will be just bumps in the road instead of a whole mountain. Great Job!!

Thanks Gabby. I say to my family oh its time for my shot and its just gotton so normal. Even my eleven year old has accepted our new life style well. We can't dwell on things we just do them. This is how I look at it, I need to do this to stay healthy so this is just the way it is.I don't feel sorry for myself because this disease can be controled there are many diseases out there that can't be. I actually feel blessed because many people have it worse than me. Thanks to this wonderful group of people here on dc I've adopted a positive can do attitude! I really apperciate you guys!

I guess it wouldn't be wrong to say "Happy Anniversary" because your awareness to what to do and not do seems to be motivating yourself and others. You've got a great attitude and that's so important. Keep up the habit of caring for yourself and diabetes can be "normal" for you as long as you continue the cycles of diet, exercise and medication. Throw in a little support and friendship from us and you've got a winning combination toward success. It's so great to have you on our board and in our lives. Thanks for being a friend!!!
