I heard about Dreamfields Low carb pasta. It has only 5 digestable carbs. What are digestable carbs?

I find that Dreamfields does work for me much better than whole wheat pastas. HOWEVER, you still need to watch your portion size. It gets tempting to eat more because it is supposed to be lower in carbs. The digestible carbs are supposed to be the offset of the patented fiber coating they do on the pasta that helps slow down the sugar spike. Now, I have never tested more than 2 hours after a meal, and maybe I should do that with this pasta as KD implies.

I miss my pasta!! The last time I only had three small stuffed shells, and I mean small with a salad. My BS shot up to 200. No more for me. But we have to make sacrifices to stay healthy.

I love spaghetti and have really missed it. I actually made "spaghetti" using spaghetti squash and Ragu sauce to which I added quite a bit of ground chuck. I figured it would be a pretty poor substitute but I was actually pleasantly surprised. The squash is not really very pasta like at all but it does add texture to the sauce. Quite delish! And pretty low carb as well.

My personal opinion, digestible carbs are just another marketing term designed to sell more product. Legally it has about 42g of carb per serving, they claim that the impact to blood sugar is the same as 5g of carb. Some people say they have good luck with dreamfields, some say they are fine until several hours later and then get a big spike, I found it to be no different to any other pasta.
