Keep reading that agave syrup has a low glycemic index and is acceptable for diabetics. Does anyone know if it can be used in my diet and how it impacts blood glucose? Thanks.

It's a slippery slope, that's for sure. You may just have to eat some (in moderation) and track your blood sugar to see what effect it has on you. Definitely don't go full bore. Everyone's different anyway, so that may be the best way to tell. Let us know what you find out.

Personally I avoid it. A lot of the stuff you read about it is marketing but it is very high in fructose so has all the problems associated to high fructose consumption, like liver problems.
