I WAS DIAGNOSED IN 2008, WHEN I HEARD THAT I HAD DIABETES I WAS SHOCKED, AND STARTED CRYING, NOW I CAN CONTROL THE DIABETES AND IAM EATING MY SALADS, MEATS,FRUITSAND ALOT OF WATER AND LOSING WEIGHT.

Great testimony!!! I can relate to the total shock upon my diagnosis because I had no "risk factors" so it hit me out of the blue. Like you, I took action instead of reaction and also lost weight, exercised more, and started to plan meals instead of just grab food, started drinking more water, and … it works!!! This is not to say there haven't been and won't be obstacles, bad days, fears and frustrations but I have found attitude is key. I congratulate you on your positive attitude and accomplishments!!! Keep us posted.

Good for you! It is tough to get the news that you have Diabetes. When I was told, I was shocked and became angry. It sounds like you are well in control. That is wonderful! I work at staying in control everyday. It's the only way we can go.
