Do you ever forget to eat?

Happiness is finding a veggie in my lunchbox that I forgot to eat at lunchtime! That hardly ever happens anymore, overlooking food I mean, but now I get to have grape tomatoes with my cheese and apple slices afternoon snack. Maybe I'm a simple person, but this makes me happy. Usually I'm counting the minutes to my next meal or snack, but I'm not so hungry today. Maybe I'm finally adjusting. Thoughts?

Food is always so close to top of mind with me that I don't usually get to that point. I do get irritable sometimes when it is taking me longer than usual to get dinner on the table.

Snacks are good. If I'm out walking or running I usually take dried apricots or raisins with me.

I have forgotten to eat many times. Usually I forget to eat breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I get so busy that I just forgets.

With me its kind of like forgetting my car keys … I just don't get very far before I remember!

I have forgotten to eat many times because I was busy and it didn't cross my mind. Most times I have to force myself to eat.

Wow, the only time I've had to force myself to eat is either when I'm sick, or when I really didn't want to eat something in particular, but felt like it was something so good for me I should eat it anyway. Mostly I find myself forcing myself not to eat something.

I thought I was out there by myself with regards to not wanting to eat, but I see I am in good company. I have been getting up anywhere from 5AM to 9AM and I check my sugar as soon as I have washed my hands. Sometimes I eat a blueberry waffle, other times I don't bother with anything. Very occassionally I will have a toasted cheese sanwhich for lunch or I will just wait until supper and I'll eat whatever I'm fixing for my hubby. I would say that on average I eat one good meal a day. My MD has told me I need to eat more but I just cannot force it down,
Regards,
Lymy

I can't answer for you but I can't remember forgetting to eat. I have forgotten my car keys and I have forgotten thoughts (in the middle of a sentence) but I have never forgotten to eat. Granted I eat more often than most people (5-6 times a day … smaller meals, sensible snacks) but I have lost weight so I guess, for me, it's working. Now, where did I put those car keys??? And what was I talking about???

One of the cool things I found when I started to eat more healthy, was that I was not so hungry and smaller nutrient filled meals make me full. I can tell it most when I fall back into an old junk food habit or something for a few days...man! I feel so bad and run down and always craving my next yummy. When I am eating healthy, that doesn't happen...as much. =0)

Just what I was thinking. Sometimes I won't finish a proportioned meal (usually lunch) because what I've chosen is fulfilling. Pretty cool; seems like you are hitting your stride.
