Has anyone found any medications that really help with the burning feeling in the feet?

Hi! I use nerotine and it helps as long as I take it four times a day. I hope your doctor can give you something that works.

Thank you. I have been on Lyrica for the past 4 years and am at the highest doseage. It used to help but I think I need to try something different.

also a generous amount of chopped broccoli with my salad at supper. The burning pain is greatly reduced but the numbness is still there. I do a strenuous 3.5 mile walk just about every day as well. Get yourself a GOOD pair of shoes. I have found New Balance works best for me and get some really good inserts for them. The ones that come with the shoes are not very good. You will probably need to go to a specialty shoe store for runners, walkers, and athletes. Be prepared to spend $50 to $75. I haven't tried the Dr. Scholes analysis thing at Walmart yet. The pain was atrocious in the beginning. But I have managed to mitigate it substantially. It's possible. There is a generic for Mobic. Ask your doctor. He probably has some samples you can try for a month or so. I take 7.5 mg once a day. More can be taken though if necessary. Good luck.

Howdy Mema, welcome to DC!

I have been prescribed Nortriptaline (an antidepressant) for my Neuropathy. It doesn't seem to work for me and I'm thinking of asking for something else. Ihad been on Gabapentin/Neurontin before that which didn't seem to work for me either.

Blessings to you and yours

My doctor prescribed something OTC that I didn't bother with. What worked was going on an intensive vitamin regime to help get nutrients to the damaged nerve endings so my body could repair them. Took six months to work and never had another pain. They'd been bothering me for about 18 months at that point. I got the vitamin program from the book "Reversing Diabetes" by Dr. Julian Whittaker. It was pricey (about $70/month), but my feet are good now.
