I have gastroparisis. I have had it for about 15 years. I have more pain than throwing up. I use fentanyl pain patches for the pain. I use hydroxyz pam for nausea. I fell sick most of the time and it is hard to cope with life. Some days are real bad and some are ok. I have just learned to live with it. I hope your visits to the emergency room will be less for you in 2011. P.S. my gastroparisis is caused from having poliio when I was 18 months old. I have only been a diabetic for 2 years. If you want to talk to me you can send an e-mail here on DC.

My mom is a BAD diabetic and is going through this right now. There is an experimental and so far has been very effective with Gastroparisis. Madison University Hospital in Madison, WI has been experimenting with the usage of pace makers and stimulation in the stomach. My mom will be one of these recipients for this new outlook. As I was talking with my mom and reading over everything it has been noted as being about 80% effective in treating it. I would definitely go online and so some serious research into alternative methods and treatments. Look into your state or states around you and talk to more high tech medical specialists. You may be surprised in what may be out there for you. There are some doctors out there that unfortunately are not going to be as honest to tell their patients of other options. It sad but it is going on nowadays. Best of luck to you though…
