Sweet Caroline, Don't feel bad about waking up in the middle of the night for something to eat. What helped me was to keep some fresh sections of fruit and vegetables around. When I would wake and want something to eat ,I would eat these things. It won't be long than you will feel the difference in yourself. Your waking will become less frequent and you will feel much better about yourself. I have lost 165 lbs in the last year and 1/2. It wasen't easy but stick to your guns AND THINK HOW BAD YOU FEEL NOW.
