If what you're doing isn't working, it is time to do something different. Try eating differently. Try exercising differently. Try reducing stress differently. Try thinking differently. I found that I lose weight more easily when I stopped worrying about it. I have reduced my caloric intake and carb intake gradually. Trying to do too much too soon is not going to give good results. A few tips include making sure not to skip meals. Try to fill up by drinking more water. Try simple exercises like housecleaning or walking. Add steps. Look at the nutritional labels on your foods and/or recipes. Take a good look at your portions and your timing of food. What may work is just one thing or a combination of things. Be patient with yourself. Love yourself. It's okay to gently push yourself but if you are forcing yourself to do things that are out of bounds of reality, you'll lose your mind before you lose any weight. Look at what you're doing or not doing from the outside instead of from the inside. Take a step back… but not too many!

Cutting the carbs and working out is the only way I know how to do it.

I find exersize the hardest to bring myself to. It is an absolute must for me and yet I really have to kick myself out of the house in particular in winter time.
Do you exersize?

What are you currently doing? For instance, what do you eat? Do you take any medications? Do you do any exercise? What type of diabetes do you have? What sort of diabetes education have you had?
