I have a long acting insulin where the dose stays the same . Then I'm on a sliding scale and when I'm high the dose changes according to my numbers. So The sliding scale is ter only one that changes daily. Sometimes if I'm not high i only have to take my one shot of 24 hour insulin called lantus

If you are on a long lasting insulin you should not change you amount you take with your doctors okay I am on long lasting insulin and never change the amount .

I don't change the long lasting one very often but every dose of the mealtime one is based on what my blood sugar is and what I'm eating.
