I was recently diagnosed with type 1 but I was around 180 pounds, but I am only 5 feet tall so I was severely overweight. I lost about 20 pounds from being in DKA but I lost another 30 at first walking and slowly working my way up to jogging the 3 1/2 mile lake behind our apartment. I mean I would consider at least a night time walk or buy a jumprope and after eating about an hour or so if you're home, do a couple set of jumping. It working out your legs and it's an amazing cardio

First of all, congrats on the weight loss. Have you talked to a diabetes educator or an endocrinologist? They may be able to help you with your next steps in the director towards lessening your medication. There are lots of great books out there about controlling diabetes with lifestyle changes (and less meds) which you might want to check out. Good luck!
