This summer was by far the hottest we have seen here in Kingston, NY during the 40 years we have lived here. How was it where you live?

IT WAS A VERY HOT SUMMER AND WE HAD 4 HURRICANES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO, LUCKLY ONLY ONE WAS ANY THREAT TO US. MY BLOOD SUGAR GOES CRAZY WHEN WE GET A STORM. CAUSE I'M IN A WHEEKCHAIR.

It was so hot all our tomatoes cooked on the vines. It was so hot that AC bills were outrageous more than just one month this year. It was so hot, that I actually had higher BG levels. It was so hot that we broke several records for high's early in the summer. Is it over yet? Nope...today, it was HOT.

WE WERE SOOO HOT THIS SUMMER THAT WE HAD OVER 100 DAYS ABOVE 95. FINALLY HAVE A DAY IN THE 80S, BUT THEN IT IS THE END OF SEPT. NO RAIN EITHER. WE'RE 10IN. BELOW NORMAL. IT'LL SURE BE NICE NOT TO SWEAT LIKE A PIG EVERY TIME I GO OUTSIDE!

It was a very hot summer indeed. Susan Sloane, our 'CM', wrote a article 'How weather change can affect your blood sugar', I thought was exemely helpful. Explained the liver dumps I got after exercise even though I ate before exercise started…worth a read http://www.diabeticconnect.com/diabetes-artic...
anyone else been running hard this summer?

We needed to turn on our AC for the second time in seven years here, I guess it was hot! Usually a floor fan is all it takes to keep our old brick farm house comfortable on a hot day. Very rainy too. My horses are still eating pasture grass. Normally I start giving them hay in August because the grass is burned out from thirst.
