Without knowing what you are really fighting, it is hard to offer much help. The motivation has to come from within and if you can find something to trigger that, it will help a lot. For me, getting out of a lazy pattern takes some disgust in what I have "not" been doing. That usually does the trick for me, but then it depends on what you are referring to.

What kind of leg pains are you having?

And to avoid sleeping already sounds like insomnia...so I don't understand the question there. Are you having too much sleep or too little?

The leg pain could be a few things. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? I have neuropathy in my feet which is a tingle or burn sometimes they are feeling cold. That is annoying, is that the kind of pain you are having? If it is spreading to your legs you want to have your doctor aware of that.

Is there a way to get yourself on a regular sleeping schedule? Maybe your doctor could help with that in the beginning. Sleeping regular times consistently is a huge help and might balance things out. But again, please talk to your doctor. If you are having high sugar levels that are messing up your sleep patterns, then you want his help in addressing how to treat that.

Ahhh, the mood swings. I totally get those. A lot of diabetics when our levels are out of control have mood swings. They can be anger, sadness, depression and things like that. I tend to get snappy with my family too, and when I do that, I know I need to test and see what is going on.

It sounds like you really want to talk to your doctor about finding a treatment that will help you keep in control. The pain in the feet, the headaches, the sleeplessness and the moods are all part of high sugar levels. Once you get your levels in better control, you may find that some of that lessens and you can be more comfortable.
