Does anyone know what I need to do to host a diabetes screening in my City? I really want to help!

Have you contacted your local diabetes educator? That would be a good place to start or the hospital. I have never tried to get one done, so that is a great idea. I didn't think of individuals starting that. November is Diabetes awareness month, that would be a perfect gift to the community.

There was a community screening by the Visiting Nurses Assn. in Shreveport LA several months back. They set up in a large and busy grocery store. I was there on vacation and my sister and I both got tested free. They gave us our reading to take to our doctors (they recommended we see the dr. due to moderately high BG.) And they gave us material to read.
