I tend to take naps so often, I could be sitting at the computer and doze off, can that be the diabetes? I also have numbness on my right side when I lay down on my left side, can that be neropathy? thanks…

Have you been tested for sleep apnea or Epstein Barr??? Both can cause the dozing off. As for the numbness, you might be a pinching a nerve when you when you lay on you left side. I'd defiantly talk to your doctor about these.
good luck

I read all the posts here and I wondered…
Have you checked your blood sugar? Has your doctor done a1c tests that determines your avg blood glucose over 3 months.

I get sleepy when my blood sugar goes high enough, even after sleeping relatively well all night. And for me, having some misalignment in my spine and neck contribute to numbness in my left hand at at times. Ck w/your Doc. Symptoms are had to pin down to one thing sometimes… but sleepy? My guess is high blood sugar.

I have the same problem but on my left side tightness under shoulder blade then in are down to the pinky finger and the finger next to it goes numb had test conclusion nerve damage. When you feel like dozing off do you also have thirst or carving something sweet that's how I feel but then again I feel uncoordinated though out the day so who knows talk with your primary care doctor and have them run tests (hopefully you have Insurance) don't let it go it could turn into something else.

I have a tendency to do that myself especially after lunch. to counter act it I try to take a 15 min walk which usually consists of 8-9 blocks. It keeps me alert and lowers my stress.

I think bsl = blood sugar level…I'm not part of the texting generation and find many of the acronyms puzzling…had to google " lmbo" recently to find out it meant "laughing my butt off" We're never too old to learn and DC has given me a new forum for knowledge!
