I sympathize — Abdominal gas pain can really hurt. Milk also presents, uh, shall we say social problems, somewhat beyond my stomach - 'nuff said ??

I also have stratospheric cholesterol levels so I now drink Silk Light regular flavor soy milk and have honestly grown to prefer it over cow brand. It's an acquired taste, tho.

Just wish it would react like real milk in recipes. (Don't even try gravy or sauces made with Silk)

Mild goat cheese and low fat yogurt don't give me any problems to speak of so I get to enjoy some dairy.

Hope you find several alternatives that you enjoy. Dry cereal is no fun, huh?

I'm lactose intollerant, I tried to drink lactaid milk and that bothered me also. I now drink plain soy milk, but I wish it came in a smaller size because I waist more than I use.

There must be something else going on with your system.

Soy milk is one option, I personally avoid any soy based product due to its estrogen like qualities.

My bride tolerated acidophilus milk well (so did I).

There's goat milk in the store, but many object to the smell & taste,

Then there is also almond milk, either in some stores or it can be made. (I remember Kirla writing that he made it - if interested you can contact him, or maybe you can seardh for it in the recipes section)

Blessings
