What would help? How about a world wide acceptance that its a chronic/never ending disease that can be helped prevented by some of the choices we make. That way people (kids, parents, spouses, husbands, wives, etc.) could prevent or save them the pain of being looked at less than a normal person. To have someone that's always by your side so that you can call, e-mail, or text; to just vent out the daily struggle to stay on the course of a healthier life. A new total revisit/ re-look at the health care insurance; to make it easier for people with some chronic diseases to get help, without so much red tape. To also hold on to the knowledge that with every year technology gets better and very soon they will find a cure that everyone is looking for.

You mean, besides a CURE??!
hhmm… I'd say a change in society's acceptance of junk food — ifyou haven't noticed, it's EVERYWHERE!! … and people treat you like a circus freak if you avoid it …
plus, a winning lottery ticket and a personal fresh farm delivery service would be nice… and maybe a cook? :-)

Amalia, Harlen uses a ledger as a record keeper. It's just a written copy of what your BG was, what time of day you tested, wether you ate, what you ate, had any exercise , how you are feeling, stress, etc. Many of us find by keeping track of things, it gives us more control. Shows how OUR bodies react to stress, carbs, protein, exercise…life. Best of luck…Theresa

When I was pregnant I had to see my doctor once a week because of my diabetes I was a "high risk pregnancy". Visiting my Doctor really helped me keep up with my diabetes, having that support weekly and knowing someone is checking up on you.
