Good morning everyone, received a flu shot yesterday at doctors office. Dont forget to get your also.Next week see doc for my a1c test and some orther test aslo. Hope everything comes out good.

Just so you are aware, many of the flu shots this year are automatically including the H1N1 vaccine as well. Not giving you the choice to say no to that one. So please ask your provider about that.

All the flu shots this year contain the A strain H1N1 like vaccine (same California strain as last year), it's one of the 3 strains of this seasons vaccine. the other two are A strain H3N2 like and the same B strain as last year, Brisbane 60 I think.

If you get the flu shot or have done in the past then there is no reason to fear the H1N1 strain since it's the same as any other strain vaccine.

Thanks for the reminder for the flu shot, Alan! I see my doc tomorrow for my A1C report. From what the nurse told me mine was 9.6. I have some other things to talk to him about also. Good luck with your visit.
