I get so stressed because no one really understands what is going on inside of me. I have no energy but I want to scream and cry and I feel I am in my own little world. im an emotional wreck and I feel I did it all to my self and im stuck

Read this

Then see if your local library has the book Diabetes Burnout by William Polonsky, ISBN 1580400337. After reading them both you should start to see the light. On a side note, don't worry. It's my theory that the majority of diabetics go through this stage at some point after diagnosis and it's part of the acceptance of the disease. Once you are over it, things will be a lot better.

Point number did not do this to yourself.
Point number are not alone. Cry if you want, scream if it helps.
Point number three...understanding will come, so just take it one day at a time.

Then jump on here and read a few discussions, ask a few questions and before you know it, you will be feeling better. It doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't always help, but it is very nice to know that the community is here for you. We do understand because we are also often in the same boat.

So for right now, I will just leave you with a few ((hugs)) and maybe a smile =0)

Hey Max - you've come to the right place.Your not alone, there are so many of us in the same situation as you. We're all here for support and to be supported. If you feel like crying go right ahead. We all feel that way from time to time. Never ever feel like you did this to yourself, there are a lot of reasons this happens. But you are not the cause. Don't be afraid to ask questions or for support, you will get it here. Never forget that here we all understand. Wishing you only the best.

Howdy Max. I believe you came to the right place because here you have many THOUSANDS of folks who "get it" about diabetes. Come here to scream, shout and cry about your medical challenge(s), and even about your other frustrations in life.

Maybe you might want to go to this page in DC: where you'll get some virtual hugs and support.

And about your feeling that you didn't necessarily cause your diabetes, not even if you have Type 2. (you didn't say in your profile which you were). I have seen this discussed in other discussions here on DC, but can't remember where. But YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME!

Please get involved in some of the other discussions and many will tell you the same thing. It is something caused by genetic predisposition. You CAN control to a certain extent the appearance of complications by keeping your BG#s ui good control.

I also want to wish you a BIG WELCOME to DC!

Hope to see more of you around the discussions!

Richest blessings to you and yours

James Baker
