Good morning all, I have a question. This morning I noticed that my glands behind and around my neck is swollen. Is this something associated with being a diabetic?I know that I have been feeling somewhat fatique and not hunry for the last ffew days. Is this something that I should be concered about? I hate to keep running back and forth to the doc for every little thing.

Swollen things is always a sign of something happening inside. You don't want to let it go untreated. I cannot say if it is diabetes related, but you want to have it looked at. There are all kinds of glands that can hold and spread infection and the longer it is swollen, the worse that can be.

I agree with bettymachete, it sounds like a low grade infection. However you never know what little signs your body is giving you. To be on the safe side make an appointment with your doctor.

I would call the doctor and inquire, swollen glands can be a symptom of other things going on or just the simple case of swollen glands.

Swollen glands behind the ears, neck could be due to an upper respiratory infection. Are you taking a Statin medication? I have heard it can be a side effect.
