There are a number of "healthy" food shopping websites out there in Cyberspace. I cannot give testimonials to any except for two which my wife and I have used for purchasing and we are pleased with both sources: netrition and vitacost.

We've only used vitacost twice but had no negative issues to share from the company or our experiences but we would give glowing thumbs up to and currently have an order over $200+ in with them for my protein (Atkins) bars; wife's protein powders; and a number of low carb snack options.

I surfed around both websites tonight in order to review them. Both sites are a little busy with links and resources but some of them are worth the time and trouble of maneuvering around them. I found a message board section on netrition that I wasn't aware of and it looks rather active for discussing diabetes, low carb cooking, nutrition and other topics of interest.

Both companies seem to be distributors for a number of brands, both known and unknown. The pricing can probably be beat on several brands but the convenience of door to door delivery cannot be beaten and it's nice to be able to view the ingredient labels and nutritional contents from home rather than standing in line at the stores.

So for discussion purposes are you aware of these resources with positive or negative testimonials to share? Are you aware of other online shopping resources that you would like to bring to our attention?

For your convenience, the sites I am referring to are linked here:

I believe both companies offer print catalogs which could be a nice reference since both websites seem so busy with links and buttons and banners. I prefer to keep things simple but not all web designers work the same. Shopping should be easy and not overwhelming.

Input? Feedback? Testimonials???

I've been searching posts having to do with saving money and you and I are of the same mind when it comes to this.

I've been using Vitacost for several years now and I've saved a lot of money geting what I need from them vs buying retail locally. Flat rate shipping and they are on Mr. Rebates. If you sign up with Mr. Rebates, you get cash back on your purchases. Believe the Vitacost rebate is 6% so there's more savings over there great prices.

They have sugar free Jelly Bellys!!! (gourmet jelly beans) My all time FAVORITE candy. I will definitely be revisiting this site. Thanks for the intro Ray.

You had already introduced me to the and I get their news letter. The is a bit over pricing the "retail" prices of things I am familiar with, but their cost is lower than I currently pay by about .50. So if you get the free shipping it will work out well.
