Victoza injections

Hi: Everyone I just heard from a friend at work that has a friend and told her she lost alot of weight by taking these injections called victoza that was prescribed by her Doctor. Can someone tell me how safe are they and what are the side affects because I have not heard of them. Please I am interested..Thank You

I just found out about this drug yesterday from a complete stranger. he told me that he has lost a lot of weight since being on victoza and his a1c has droped.

The basic side effects listed are: Constipation; decreased appetite; diarrhea; dizziness; headache; nausea; pain, swelling, or redness at the injection site; sinus inflammation; sore throat; upset stomach; vomiting.

There are more of them listed, but these are the mild ones. It is kind of weird that it is for insulin production in type 2's, but it can be used for "other" purposes...that is just kind of creepy to me.

I use Victoza and have experienced ALL of the side effects except the weight loss

I don't know of that but i have been on Beyetta # 5 mcg injections prescribed by my Doctor i haven't been sick or anything but i have lost weight . I have been on it for a month and half.

For sure, everyone is different. Some people won't experience any of them and others will have ones not listed. It is amazing how different we really are.
