This summer the entire continantal USA had been very hot and humid. Has anyone noticed the last few days the weather is cooling down, our energy level is coming back, activity level is increasing, and blood sugar is going down? I did! I went out for lunch today, followed by a brisk walk…Feel absolutely great, bg after meal was the best in 2 monthes! Hope everybody here took advantage of the weather and burned some glucose! Spring and Fall have always been the most friendly to my A1C, how about you?

Good for you Gabby and Lenny! Do you think the lower sugar level only has to do with our increased activity level (sometime you are conscious of it, sometimes not), or the heat and humidy was 'doing things' to us diabetics..?

Yes, that could be it too. It is finally been cool enough to start getting our garden ready for a fall planting. I am looking forward to getting out there tomorrow and getting the beds ready for action.

Oh I definatly feel that increased activity has a lot to do with it. But I did notice the increase with the heat and humidity, unfortunatly I wasn't able to slow down during all the heat. I had to spend a lot of time outside during that period.

I does make a difference. I checked mine yesterday afternoon and was down to 110, it hasn't been that low in months. You are right, the energy level has improved greatly. We started out this morning at 57 degrees. It could stay that way the rest of the summer and fall for me.

Yes, I noticed today that my before dinner was a 124. It has not been that low for a long time, but then of course, I have been extra good and only eating who knows for sure. I am just glad they are going down instead of up.
