Is anyone else on the Omni pod insulin pump? I was just curious if those of you who are on this pump had some tips on avoiding occlusions etc. and if you had trouble or suggestions on the settings. At least once a week I have an occlusion. I can't use my hip because it feels like something constantly sticking me. If I use the upper leg site it hits blood vessels. I have to chang the pod every day and half, better then the shots but I would like to improve and only have to change the pod every three days. My A1C did come down to 7.3 though and the nurse practitioner was pleased. Any suggestions would be welcomed,

I am using the Animas PING right now. I was told to draw up the insulin into the cartridge very slowly to avoid a occlusion. If you go too fast, it draws/creates bubbles in the cartridge. Best of wishes to you!

Thanks Harlen: I will check it out. I have parrots so I can't use anything with tubing. My bird grab anything.
