Some might ask what in the world this is? Is is much like a mock military course challenge but made in a fun way. My next door neighbor friend sparked mine and my husband interest in this. They are bringing a Warrior Dash to a near by city where I live next year September 17th.

I think this whole opportunity sounds filled with fun fitness and the ultimate challenge for me with getting fit. In my opinion, if a man can do this course…so can a woman…just as good as the next dude. This will give me 1 year to get my butt in shape and ready for this course. We're even considering doing a team thing with cool team name and shirts. This will be a awesome opportunity to get loose, have a little fun, get a workout, and see how strong I can be. You can either run this course or walk your way through it all. It is promising to be the dirtiest, sweatiest, and the most challenging thing yet in my life; beside marriage, kids, and college.

Check it out all of you out there. If your interested, see if there is one coming to a city near you and go for it. It is a AWESOME way to build the You back in yourself.

This is what I need! Is there a website or something that gives details about it?

Yeah Gaby, go to this web site WE are actually making a team thing out of this. This thing is HUGE and it keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. They just added Twin Lakes for next year September and they have one on Ohio as well. I am not sure about the other places but I do know it is gaining in popularity. My husband is going to sit in stands and watch and tape the event. What is nice, you can choose to walk or run the course and they have different kinds of prize levels and that. We're thinking about calling ourselves the drunk N' umpalumpas…with a catch phrase like "it is game on like____". I have 1 year to get ready and will look to get some help from a trainer and with a workout buddy. It is going to be the ultimate and most adventurous time for me. facing new and wonderful heighths with my diabetes as well as making fun getting fit.

Wow, that looks crazy fun! So if you can get your butt in shape for a 4 mile run and then throw in the obstacle course. could do Wipe Out on ABC after that one.

You can either run, jog, or walk the course. The main point is survival of the entire course. I just took a look at our obstacle course map for next year. Hubby is chickening out and would rather take pictures and record. Oh well…his gain :)

Well, if he is going to be your recorder, make sure he does a video so you can post it here so we can all cheer you on, even if it is delayed.

No, we're actually thinking about a team name like the umpaloompas (short characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), love boat, a-team, or something REAL zanny. I have the other idea of placing, "it's on like____ (and fill that blank with something just as zanny. This course is messy and intense but A LOT OF FUN.

this sounds like fun. Who wouldn't enjoy messy, intense and lots of fun? It can't be any worse than the confidence course in basic training. My whole squadron had a blast.
