Kinda new at this. I have Diabetes type 2. I have been trying to watch what I eat, but sometimes I eat a little late cause of my work schedule. I take insulin when my sugar is high and pills. So far it has been over 200 everytime I check it. Any suggestions, what am I doing wrong?

I would suggest less food more often through your day .. pack snacks that don't require heating or refrigeration like nuts, seeds, protein bars or whatever. Make time for a bite and for testing.

Hi and welcome to DC!! Glad that you are here. Maybe you are eating to many carbs. Are you counting them?

First, welcome to the site. I am sure with some snooping around you will find all kinds of gems of knowledge here.

eating late is not really the issue as much as eating about the same time every day and trying to spread out your carbs so that you have an even flow of them in your daily routine.

You say you take insulin when you are high, but do you take it before you eat?
Did your doctor explain to you how he wants you to use your insulin?
You mention you are on pills. What kind are you taking?
Also, do you test before you eat and then after you eat? What other times of the day do you test?

With a little more information, we can help you out a little better.
Again, welcome to the site and I hope you find what you need here.
