This has been mentioned, but will testify to it being correct, change the location of the shot each time. I use my belly and sides. First two years did only the left side because of nerve damage and hardly felt anything. Two years later I'm looking in the mirror after shower and see that my left belly side has a little more fat and slightly discolored. Soooo… move the injection site around, and I've found that rubbing the area after wards help keep down the bruising.

Since I have to take insulin before every meal, I'm usually sitting down. My favorite injection sites are my hips, upper thigh and upper inner thigh. Injecting in my stomach results in huge black bruises. Any fatty deposites on the body are usually ok, but injecting in muscle will hurt more. Always rotate sites.

Me2. Maybe that's why I hurt the whole day. Thanx for the heads up I started exercising and I don't need anything to slow me down!

Always remember to check bs before, during, and after exercising to head off low reactions. That's why exercising is so important, it does lower your bs. It's a good idea to carry glucose tablets, they can help in a pinch and they come in a lot of yummy flavors!:)

Is that normal that it stings? I wonder.

It stings when you push the plunger too quickly. I always tell people who are new to injections to push the needle in quickly but push the plunger kind of slowly.

If you're gonna inject yourself on the thigh, you better not do some hardcore exercising. It'll go through you quickly and well, that won't be good.

I always inject myself on my belly. To make it bearable, I pinch my blubber and hit it at a 45 degree angle. I always move the injection site around so I won't get bruised.

I'm too lazy to inject myself on my arm. I feel like it's far away. LOL.

I inject myself on my belly but I'm so sore all the time. So I was just wondering where else to inject myself. Thanx
