I started it this way. I only did it for 5 minutes in the start. For about 3-4 days, then I added 5 more minutes. And so it went until I was up to 45 minutes. The gradual process helped me to stick with it. I didn't get all burned out the first week and get sore. So I just kept adding. Then when you start to see how it helps you control your BG levels, you will be more and more excited about doing it. Log your BG numbers before and 30 minutes after and see what it is able to do for you. That is what excited me the most and got me moving.

Hello and welcome
motivation : Ok if you dont I will come down there and chase you in my chair lol
I would start with a simple walk on the out side of your home and then each day go just a little bit more that way you dont over do it and its stress free
Best wishes

Welcome to Diabetic Connect!
To start, pick a simple destination, and start walking, go to the park, take a walk in the garden, to the store, etc.
Starting small will allow you to adjust physically, while increasing your stanima slowly.

Hello there! What helps me, if you have a MP3 player, create a song list this is uplifting and full of energy. Maybe ask some friends to join you in a walkers club.
