Hi all, I just joined and wanted to intro myself. I have had diabetes for about 4 years now. I just recently started taking it seriously ( shame on me ).
I was feeling very bad and the only illness I was not treating was the diabetes, so I started checking my blood and was suprised at the readings I was getting. I am taking it it seriously now, am taking nothing for granted.
I just wished there was something I could do about all this stomach fat. I would love to have a lap again. I would also love to be able to tie my shoes without mashing all the air out of me to do so.
I hope you all will bear with me as I learn all I need to know about this illness. Thanks Diana

good morning and welcome! I too have the same problem as you with the waist. I had been in denial for 16 years and I am now taking it seriously. This is a great and helpful community. And like Betty says, just take it a day at a time.

Welcome to the Diabetic Connect Family !
It's better late, than never when dealing with diabetes, try to be as consistent as you can be when managing your diabetes.
In the process of managing your diabetes, you will began to feel better, and with a little physical activity and eating healthier the stomach issue will soon become a non issue.

But, first things first, let's deal with the diabetes issue, I am glad to know that it has moved up on the priority list in your life.
