Does anyone know what all can cause low blood sugar? Last night through today I am having trouble keeping my blood sugar up! Imagine that! I took my 50 units of Levimir this morning after waking up with a 75. It's confusing so I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this. I haven't taken any Novalog all day yet.

I am wondering this too. I have struggled all weekend with low blood sugar. I have dropped as low as 50 and can't seem to get it past 77 even after drinking 2 Mountain Dews while I was driving. It has been scarey as I know I am not functioning 100%. I have been controling my BG with diet and exercise and do not takes medications. Not much except my stress level has changed over the past couple of weeks. I am starting to feel like I just need a sugar drip IV. Any suggestions before I pass out at my desk at work?

75 is just about as perfect a fasting number you can get. Levimir and novolog will cause low blood sugar if you take too much. How have your blood sugars been without taking your novolog?

I went from 11.4 a1c to 7.4 in 6 months, which was wonderful, but I'm wondering if I am not eating right lately. For lunch I had one of those Angus beef wraps at McDonalds and my number was 83, without taking the Novalog.

75 isn't too low but if you have problems with it going below 70 I would talk to the doctor about it, you made need to make an adjustment on your meds.
