Some diabetics have trouble with any fruit, others can have a wide variety without complications, you need to experiment and test to see how its affecting you. I seldom have tropical fruits with the exception of bananas, most berries and fruits are fine for me at this time and I eat a lot of fruit.

The best diet that I can recommend is the one that you've been on. You can still eat most of the same foods but with simple swaps from unhealthy to healthier options. Try brown rice instead of white. Try whole grains instead of Wonder White. Swap splenda or sweet n low for sugar. Experiment with oatmeal instead of sugar smacks. You can create your very own diet that your mind, body and soul likes. What works for me may not work for you… or your meter. It takes time but you CAN control your diabetes to live a happy and healthy life. Food should nourish the body, not be a source of stress. You're in good hands with us. Sit a spell.

It's not really a case of what fruit diabetic's can eat, more what fruit you can eat. Websites like sparkpeople.com, calorieking.com and nutritiondata.com will tell you nutritional info of fruit so you can see how many carbs are in a certain amount. Then you can test it out and see what happens to your blood sugar.

Diets are another personal thing depending on you and what you want to get out of it. The above sites can also help you develop your own diet that will work for you but your doctor can also help.
