Hi, I am new here, does anyone have a hard time with low blood sugars and trying to keep on top of your blood sugars so lows won't happen?

you could try to have more protein in you dinner or an aprropriate snack with protien closer to bed time. my grand son has the same problem, his educator tells us to up the protien at dinner. so hope it helps!!

I am on an insulin pump and I have a dexcom. Last night I had a low blood sugar in my sleep which is when they usally happen, and I didn't get to it time to help myself. I am so frustrated.

The low BG used to be a issue for me when I was on the injections. Until I went on the insulin pump myself. My doctor/Endo has me carrying a Glucagon Kit for those time and then I have Dex4 oral solution shots in my case for the lows. I still have to carry my basis just in case there is a low. You never know when it could happen. The next time you see your provider, I would talk to them about this. There may need to be an adjustment or some changes.
