As I loose wieght I am always feeling hungry. Eating healthy and following my daily carbs. I went and bought a Diabetic cook book 30 minute meals and as I measure out my porshens for the meal to eat I am learning that its not much food at all. But I fight the urge to want more I find that this cook book makes some really good food. So now its even harder not to take more. But I stick to it. I also found icecream for diabetics that briars makes very good. But I can only eat one icecream bar and thats my snack at night. I love fish and always have and I found out that fish or just about any sea food is very low on carbs. But still there is a limit. I will go fishing now with a whole new look.
So I will continue to fight the urge to want more and stay on this new diabetic diet. I also quit smoking yesterday and that doesn't make it any easier. But the docter came out and sead it pretty bluntly. continue to smoke and you will be dead in 6 months. So all of my bad habits have finely caught up with me. So this is how god punishes me. No more junk food and no more smoking. Every friday after work I used to go to the bar and have a shot of vodka and 2 beers and a steak and fries. Even that I can no longer do because of the drugs I am on won't allow me to even have one beer. I never drank that much just one shot and 2 beers a week. I didn't thank that was to much. But it is time and it is just the way it goes. Down with the bad and up with the good and IT'S NOT EASY BEING A DIABETIC.
