i don't know whether to welcome another newbie or ignore this guy for his immature bad taste. if that were to be his actual name, well, all i can say is bless his poor heart. but i have noticed there has been no further replies from him. curiouser and curiouser.

This smacks of a bad joke. Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like somebody trying to be funny.

KD … I had a comment. I then ran into another comment. Yet another comment came to mind. I think I'll shut up now.

kdroberts 2010-08-16 12:28:19 -0500 Report

I don't get what you mean. However…

1. Childish username.
2. Equally childish name
3. Late night posting
4. Strange formatting and spelling
5. Registered at the same time as their first post
6. Only 1 post and no other activity
7. No profile info filled in

all adds up to a joker thinking they're funny.

I thought so myself, KD but went ahead anyway with a reply since, as Harlen wrote below, I have seen some unusual handles here. Thought I'd see if he (gender a guess on my part) would reply.

you know sometimes when you have kids .you dont go back and check your spelling and then you get busy .then you make a misstake give peolpe a chance .this is not a joke some times i get on at diffrent times in the morning or late just to check whats going on thats all.relaz we are good people here.JUDY

I don't care if a person uses a name IMA FIBBIN. If they take the time to post, use appropriate consideration/respect for others, and are neither rude nor abrasive I give the benefit of the doubt on a person's "handle". The 721 in my user name was not on my birth certificate. I welcome polite introductions from all members without questioning age, spelling or motives. That's just me.

Hi Jon… this is a pretty awesome community with a lot to offer besides just diabetes information. It's a place to make genuine friendships, share experiences, ask for help, offer help, share photos and so much more. I've been around a few sites over the past few months but this one, like Dorothy said, is "noplace like home."

Welcome to the DC site that is more than just a site, more than just a community, we are a very supportive family here.

Be amazingly blessed,

Howdy Jon
and a BIG WELCOME to DC!
Hope you enjoy the site as much as I do
See ya around the discussion boards. One of the best ways to know people is to check out the website and read what's going on in the discussions. People can tell you most anything, but until you read how folks interact with one another you can't really know them for sure.

anyway blessings to you and yours!

Hello, I am also new here, as well as to joining any discussion groups. Welcome to a good place for understanding, uplifting discussions and companionship. (As well as misspelling, shaky keyboarding, and other silly mistakes). Have fun, get answers and find out you're not alone.

I am new to this site. I'm hoping to gain a better insight into diabetes, so I can do better with my numbers during the day. Although my last A1c was 6.4 which was up from the one before.
