Today, I am going to turn over a new leaf in my diabetes control. I never knew about this site until yesterday. I know eating right and exercise is the best way to control my glucose levels. I found out I had diabetes in 2004. I ate right got my levels down and gave up. Now I am on a medication called Byetta, 2 shots a day, and still can't get motivated to exercise. I read a few of the discussions today, and I'm thinking what is my problem ??? I can do this ! I did it in the past and I can do it now ( control my glucose level). I have one of those pedometers, so today I am going to start with 1/2 mile of walking, and work my way up. I'll keep you guys posted.

Welcome and good luck with your walking! Once you get into the habit of doing it, you'll want to keep it up-at least that's what I found. We are cheering you on!
