My goodness! I found out that the thyroid has a lot to do with diabetes. I jsut put a article in the News & articles section. I never realizied that I should make sure that my thryroid should be checked. Nor did I know that my doctor should be checking for a pulse in my ankles! When going for blood work, make sure that your doctor is checking your THS levels. Learn something everyday.

I usually get these checks you mention. I understand now that pulse in the ankle is to check for for blood circulation. It seems every part of our body is involved in diabetes.

Each time that I go to my doctor for anything that is out of the ordinary or seems strange to him he checks this and he does a check on my thyroid with physical routinely. So it should be something for good health practice anyway. Not thought of but important.

The thyroid has a lot to do with diabetes, but in someones article it said it should be tested once a year, I have a very good Doctor, and he recomends every 3 monthes, also they check the pulse in my ankles every visit, as I am required to take my shoes and socks off as soon as I'm put in the room
