Hi my name is Aldora and I have had type 2 diabetes ever since 1995. It has been very hard for me watching what I eat and trying not to eat sweets as much. Last year I lost 50 lbs and I felt great. Even my blood sugar was excellent. But this year I have gained it all back and then some. To make matters worse, my blood pressure and cholesterol levels were high. But through my support system of Diabetic Connect and my fiancee, I am still able to help myself by watching what I eat, exercising more and destressing myself by treating myself to a pedicure or getting my hair done every other month. So I wanna thank everyone for giving me the info and the knowledge to help me out through my rough times. I am still alive thank god and still going strong each and everyday!

When you look in the mirror the person looking back at you is the reason for your success in managing your diabetes, "YOU."

You decided one day that you wanted to do this, no one ever said that it would be easy, or quick, all that is ever said is that "YOU" can do this, and you have.

Continue moving forward, doing what's best for you in managing your diabetes, you did it once before, and you can do it again.
You have both our love and our support all around you !
